Michael Miller is a Principle Engineer in Rambus Labs, the research division of Rambus, Inc. He is presently the hardware lead on the Hybrid Memory project, which is prototyping memory subsystems with multiple types of media. For most of his career, he has worked in embedded processor development, both at IBM and Motorola (now Freescale) specializing in cache controller design. He received his master’s in computer engineering from North Carolina State University and his bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois-Champaign. At home in Raleigh, North Carolina, you may find Michael out on the road cycling in a pace line or in a club performing improv comedy.
